Recall that on August 10, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 struck Colombia. That evening, 30 deaths were reported. As of the morning of August 11, at least 132 people had died, with 570 others injured. The government declared a national state of emergency and deployed military personnel to the affected area.
Additionally, yesterday, President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev sent a telegram of condolences to the President of Colombia over the numerous casualties resulting from the earthquake.
