According to the official Telegram channel of the Kostanay regional courts, the Kostanay city court considered a civil case brought by a woman on behalf of a minor against two limited liability partnerships for damages and moral compensation.
Court materials show that in May 2026, a road accident involving a truck and a passenger car occurred on the Astana-Karaganda highway. As a result, the minor, who was in the passenger car, suffered severe bodily harm.
Due to the injuries, she underwent inpatient treatment and a neurosurgical operation.
Because of the accident, the plaintiff claimed moral damages and reimbursement of legal expenses.
During the court proceedings, the parties reached a settlement through mediation. Under the agreement, the defendants committed to pay the victim 5 million tenge in moral damages and 300 thousand tenge for legal services.
The court reviewed the mediation agreement, found it compliant with legal requirements, and approved it. The mediation agreement was upheld, and the civil case was dismissed.
The terms of the mediation agreement take effect upon court approval and are binding on the parties.
