The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has resumed receiving oil from shippers and loading at its marine terminal in Novorossiysk, according to Orda.kz, with more details available at infohub.kz.
Currently, tankers SEAMAJESTY and MILOS are being loaded at two offshore mooring facilities. Both vessels are receiving oil from Tengizchevroil, the Energy Ministry's press service said.
The resumption of operations allows oil producers to again supply crude to the CPC system and continue exports via the marine terminal. Further terminal operations will depend on the current situation and security requirements.
The Energy Ministry said it remains in constant contact with CPC management, major shippers, and other stakeholders. The agency continues to monitor the situation and coordinate the transportation of Kazakh oil.
Earlier, CPC temporarily suspended oil loading at the marine terminal following a drone attack on infrastructure. The Energy Ministry explained that the decision was made to ensure the safety of vessels, crews, and the Black Sea environment. All of the consortium's technical facilities are operating normally and are ready to resume transshipment once the situation stabilizes.
On July 21, Reuters reported, citing three industry sources, that CPC had halted oil intake from Kazakhstan. According to Bloomberg, Kazakhstan would be forced to stop pumping crude to the terminal because shipowners were concerned about sending tankers there.
