In the Chinese city of Chongqing, an unusual traffic accident occurred: a white crossover, after a maneuver, flew off the road and ended up suspended between trees and electrical equipment near a tunnel. Footage from the scene quickly spread on social media, with users joking that the car had found itself a "parking spot in the air," reports infohub.kz.
The incident happened on the morning of August 5 near the Eling Tunnel in the Yuzhong District. According to Chinese media, the vehicle was traveling in the middle lane when it crossed a solid line and sharply veered left.
As a result of the maneuver, the crossover crashed into the edge of a cliff near the tunnel and became wedged between trees and an electrical installation below. The hood was pushed up, and pink petals fell onto the windshield and roof, giving the scene a picturesque look.
In the released footage, the crossover can be seen briefly "taking off" in front of the tunnel. After the impact, the driver opened the door but did not dare to get out on his own—the height was too great.
Traffic police and firefighters arrived at the scene, using a ladder to rescue two people from the vehicle and hand them over to medics for examination. The cause of the accident had not been determined at the time of publication.
