A 69-year-old Swedish national, Daniel Siad, who was linked to the case of American financier Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead in the French commune of Colombes, near Paris. An investigation has been launched into his death, the cause of which has not yet been determined, according to Infohub.kz citing RBC.
Siad's name appeared repeatedly in materials related to the Epstein case. According to documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice, he is mentioned 2,090 times. Investigators viewed him as a possible intermediary who introduced young women to the financier.
In an interview given in May 2026, Siad did not deny bringing women to Epstein but claimed he worked as a scout and casting director for Victoria's Secret, describing his relationship with Epstein as "strictly professional." Five women accused Siad of rape and sexual assault; he denied all allegations. French law enforcement had not yet questioned him.
Earlier, the U.S. Department of Justice was ordered to unseal the names of Epstein's accomplices. Additionally, about two dozen new alleged victims of the financier have contacted the Paris prosecutor's office.
