Daniyar Takhanov, who previously headed the Atyrau social-entrepreneurial corporation, has become the new akim of Atyrau, infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Telegram channel of the regional akimat, by order of the akim of Atyrau Region, Bolat Akchulakov, in agreement with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and deputies of the city maslikhat, Daniyar Takhanov has been appointed akim of Atyrau.
He was born in 1985 in Atyrau. He graduated from the China University of Petroleum in Beijing with degrees in production and commercial management and production economics. He is a graduate of the international Bolashak scholarship program.
He began his career in 2009 at KazKurylsService JSC, where he held various positions. In 2012, he worked as an engineer at the Kazakhstan branch of Sinopec Engineering.
From 2012 to 2017, he served as deputy chairman of the board of SPK Oral and director of Atyrau Innovations LLP.
Since 2017, he worked at SPK Atyrau JSC, where he held the positions of deputy chairman of the board and chairman of the board. Since May 2022, he has headed the Atyrau social-entrepreneurial corporation.
Regional akim Bolat Akchulakov instructed the new city akim to establish systematic work to address pressing issues of the population, with special attention to employment and job placement, development of engineering infrastructure, modernization of sewage and power supply systems, the heating season, relocation of residents from dilapidated housing, ensuring public safety, and improving the city. The regional head also emphasized the need for close interaction with deputies and residents in solving city problems.
Recall that in June of this year, information appeared about the detention of Deputy Akim of Atyrau Meirzhan Mukasov. The National Security Committee (KNB) reported that a pre-trial investigation is underway.
Also, information was spread online that acting akim of the city Tilek Makhuov was detained. The KNB stated that they are also conducting a pre-trial investigation.
After the news of the detentions, residents of Atyrau began to ask where city akim Shakir Keikin was and why he stopped appearing in public. The Atyrau akimat responded that he was on sick leave but had returned to work and was performing his duties. Two weeks ago, it became known that Shakir Keikin had left the post of akim of Atyrau. After that, he published a post on his Instagram page.
