Kazakhstan national team forward Dastan Satpayev was left out of Burnley's squad for their latest Championship match, infohub.kz reports.
On Saturday, 31 October, the Clarets hosted Portsmouth at Turf Moor. The 13th-round fixture ended in a goalless draw, 0-0. The match marked the debut of Swiss coach Fabio Celestini as Burnley's head coach.
Satpayev was not included in the matchday squad. The club offered no official comment, but reports of the player's injury had already surfaced in the media. According to NUR.KZ, the issue is a hamstring injury.
Satpayev had already been sidelined by injury on 2 September and returned to the pitch on 10 October. According to sports commentator Yermukhamed Maulen, recovery this time will take at least six weeks.
As a result, the 18-year-old forward was left out of Kazakhstan's final squad for their November Nations League matches, despite initially being named to the preliminary list.
Following the draw with Portsmouth, Burnley have nine points but remain in 22nd place, inside the relegation zone.
