Kazakh striker Dastan Satpayev has resumed training with the English club Burnley. The 18-year-old footballer has not played since early September due to a hamstring injury, infohub.kz reports.

Satpayev posted photos of the training session on his Instagram profile. It is still unclear whether he will feature in his team's next match.

The forward sustained the injury on September 2 in a Championship match against Middlesbrough (1-1). The Kazakh started the game and was substituted in the 81st minute, leaving the pitch with signs of injury. Later, Burnley head coach Nicky Hayen said the striker would be out for several weeks.

Before the injury, Satpayev had played three Championship matches and one English League Cup game. In the league, he started twice, and the Middlesbrough match was his last before the break.

Satpayev's return to training comes ahead of Burnley's resumption of matches after the international break. The team's next game will be away against Watford on October 10. The match at Vicarage Road will kick off at 19:00 Kazakhstan time.

Meanwhile, Burnley have made a poor start to the Championship season. After eight rounds, the team sits bottom in 24th place with four points. The club has yet to win – four draws and four defeats with a goal difference of 9:17. Swansea lead with 17 points. Burnley's next opponents, Watford, are in 20th place with eight points.

Recall that due to the injury, Satpayev also missed Kazakhstan's Nations League matches.
