Kazakh striker Dastan Satpayev, who is on loan at English club Burnley, met with players of Kazakhstan's U21 national team after they arrived in the United Kingdom, infohub.kz reports.
The Kazakhstan Football Federation published a joint post on Instagram with English club Burnley, where the 18-year-old forward moved on a one-season loan from London's Chelsea. A video shared in the post captures a warm meeting between Satpayev and the Kazakhstan U21 players who arrived in Britain that day.
"Guess who's here. Dastan Satpayev dropped by to visit us and wished us luck in the upcoming matches. Dastan is currently undergoing treatment after an injury and continues his rehabilitation to get back on the pitch. We wish you a speedy recovery and a return to action, Dastan! We've missed you!" the post reads.
Recall that today Kazakhstan's U21 football team arrived in the United Kingdom, where it will play a UEFA European Championship 2027 qualifying match.
It was also previously reported that Kazakhstan's national team has finalized its squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches. Notably, Burnley forward Dastan Satpayev was in the provisional squad but did not make the final list. In September, the 18-year-old player picked up an injury that caused him to miss several recent matches at club level.
On 26 September, Kazakhstan will face the Faroe Islands.
