18-year-old Kazakh striker Dastan Satpayev of Burnley has been officially named the Man of the Match in the Championship clash against Middlesbrough. The match, held at Turf Moor, ended in a 1:1 draw, reports infohub.kz.
Satpayev started his third consecutive game and played 80 minutes, being substituted in the 81st minute to a standing ovation. During the game, the forward took two shots on target out of the team's total of three. One dangerous moment came in the 14th minute when the goalkeeper struggled to parry his long-range effort. In the second half, Dastan went one-on-one, but the opposing keeper again denied him.
Satpayev's passing accuracy was 94% (17 accurate out of 18 attempts). He won 3 out of 4 duels and made one successful tackle.
The match itself was challenging: Middlesbrough opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Aiden Morris, but in the 54th minute, Hugo Raguber assisted to help the hosts equalize.
