A man in Aktobe invited a female acquaintance on a date at a cafe and ended up losing a large sum of money. An evening that was supposed to be romantic ended with a police report. This was reported by infohub.kz.
According to the publication "Diapazon", it all started innocently: clinking glasses, pleasant conversation, and a generous suitor who spared no expense on treats. However, his companion, apparently, was not assessing the romantic potential of the evening but rather the man's financial status.
While the couple enjoyed their conversation, the woman discreetly took her companion's phone and went to the ladies' room. As it later turned out, she was not just fixing her makeup but transferring money from his card.
As a result, 840,000 tenge disappeared from the man's account, transferred to the account of the woman's friend. Whether she returned to the table is unknown.
The man only discovered the loss the next day when he sobered up. He realized his phone was missing and his bank account was significantly depleted. Instead of a second date, he had to go to the police.
The suspect was quickly found. It turned out she had already spent all the stolen money on personal needs. Now, instead of continuing the romance, the woman faces criminal charges and investigative actions.
