Kazakh mixed martial arts fighter Dauren Ermekov secured a submission victory at the home Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) 205 event on Friday in Almaty, according to infohub.kz.
Ermekov competed on the main card in the middleweight division (up to 84.4 kg) against Brazilian Rene Pessoa. The three-round bout ended early when, in the second round, the Kazakhstani locked in a submission from a dominant ground position.
The victory was Ermekov's third in the ACA. The 38-year-old now holds a professional record of 18 wins and 7 losses.
Pessoa, 37, suffered his second straight defeat, dropping his record to 26 wins and 13 losses.
