Kazakhstan's Minister of Health, Akmaral Alnazarova, has commented on the tragic death of a 13-year-old teenager in the Mangystau region, which occurred in January of this year. The minister promised to personally meet with the mother of the deceased boy, reports infohub.kz.
Alnazarova emphasized that the case of the child's death was under her constant personal control. As a result of an unscheduled inspection conducted by the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control, as well as a commission of local executive bodies, gross violations in the organization and provision of medical care were identified in the Mangystau Regional Multidisciplinary Children's Hospital and Aktau City Polyclinic No. 2.
Following the inspection, the director of the regional children's hospital was dismissed from her position. The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case regarding the provision of medical care. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the materials have been submitted to the court.
The minister noted that such cases require not formal responses, but concrete conclusions and systemic solutions. She said she would hold a personal reception for the mother of the deceased boy in Astana. "For the family, this tragedy is irreparable, and the guilty will receive just punishment," Alnazarova stated.
As reported by the publication "Lada," the mother of the deceased child, Zhuldyz Azanova, recorded a video address and flew to Astana, intending to meet with the Minister of Health.
Recall that earlier, a resident of Aktau, Zhuldyz Azanova, claimed a medical error after which her son fell into a serious condition and died. The woman appealed to the President of Kazakhstan. According to her, it all began on January 17, when the boy complained of sudden abdominal pain. In April, the Ministry of Health reported that after the child's death, unscheduled inspections were conducted at the hospital and polyclinic in the Mangystau region, and a number of violations were identified.
