A trial has begun in the Abai Region in the case of the brutal murder of 20-year-old Dilnaz Zhumagulova. The defendant is her ex-boyfriend, according to infohub.kz.
According to KTK television channel, the crime was committed on July 13 in the village of Borodulikha. A local resident found the girl's body with knife wounds right on the road. According to the investigation, an argument broke out between the victim and her former boyfriend. Prosecutors allege he stabbed her with a folding knife he carried in his back pocket.
"We believe the charge is not objective. Unfortunately, for some reason they decided that no particular cruelty was inflicted on our only child. The man coldly inflicted knife wounds, caused a terrible traumatic brain injury, calmly threw her in the middle of the road and calmly went home and went to bed, where the investigative authorities found him in a warm bed," said Dinara Atayeva, the mother of the murdered girl.
During the proceedings, the prosecutor read out details of the injuries for 10 minutes. From his statement, it follows that Dilnaz was the first to slap the man. He responded in kind, and then used the knife, with the first blow allegedly to the neck.
"Fearing that the girl would start screaming and calling for help, the defendant struck her twice on the head. Possibly with the handle of the knife. And when Dilnaz collapsed to the ground, he continued to stab her. After that, he decided to dispose of the body and dragged it for a long time. Then he got tired and threw it right in the middle of the road," the report said.
Prosecutor Yevgeny Krauze said that wounds one through sixteen were inflicted by at least 12 traumatic impacts from solid objects with stabbing and cutting properties. The man is being tried under the article "Murder."
The defendant's side and the prosecutor requested that press access to the courtroom be restricted, allegedly fearing that certain intimate details might be disclosed. Meanwhile, the girl's relatives disagreed and asked that media be allowed to attend all court proceedings. In the end, only the prosecutor's speech was allowed to be recorded, and next time media may attend only the announcement of the verdict.
