Russian singer Dima Bilan has shared on social media his impressions of a recent performance in Karaganda, where he had not taken the stage for 20 years, according to infohub.kz.

The 44-year-old artist recalled that he had last performed in the city in 2006. "And here I am returning after a whole lifetime — and there are 250,000 people in front of me. A quarter of a million. You walk out on stage, you see this endless horizon of people, and for a few seconds you simply lose the ability to speak," he said.

According to Bilan, almost everything has changed over the two decades. "We grew up. The cities changed, the music changed, I changed. There were so many roads, countries, concerts, events, victories, doubts... But there are things before which time seems to retreat. I stood on stage in Karaganda and thought that twenty years ago I had already been here. Could that Dima have imagined what our next meeting with this city would be like? 250,000 people after 20 years. I don't think life could have come up with anything more beautiful. Thank you, Karaganda. Thank you, Kazakhstan, for this meeting and for the scale of feelings that I took with me and that we exchanged with each other," the singer shared.

The artist still has two more performances in Kazakhstan: on November 20 he will perform in Astana, and on November 22 in Almaty. "Two of my big solo concerts. A completely different space, different dramaturgy, a different show, but the same conversation through music. See you there!" Bilan concluded.
