On August 29, a concert dedicated to Miner's Day will take place in Karaganda. The main stars of the evening will be Dimash Kudaibergen, Dima Bilan, Kairat Nurtas, and other artists. According to the city administration, the concert will be held at a new venue in the Baikena Ashimov neighborhood in the Southeast. It starts at 6:00 PM. At the end of the evening, spectators will enjoy a fireworks display.
Due to the event, traffic will be restricted in the area of the concert venue starting at 10:00 AM on August 29. The road section in the Baikena Ashimov neighborhood from Respublika Avenue to Tatimbet Street will be closed, as well as all entrances and exits to residential buildings across the road in the Baikena Ashimov neighborhood, and Buketov Street from Saryarka Street to the Baikena Ashimov neighborhood. Therefore, drivers should plan alternative routes in advance.
Parking for cars will be organized along Bauyrzhan Momyshuly Street. However, due to the large number of spectators, parking spaces may run out quickly. Therefore, organizers urge people to avoid using personal vehicles and instead use public transport or walk.
After the concert, 50 additional buses will be provided for residents of satellite cities and suburban villages. Another 103 buses will operate on city routes. Additional transport will be distributed from three departure points.
At the parking lot in front of the Tennis Center, buses will be waiting for residents of Prishakhtinsk, Yugo-Vostok, the city center, Mikhailovka, ZBI, Fedorovka, and Ushtobe. At the parking lot in front of the Karaganda Arena ice palace, buses will be placed for directions: Temirtau, Saran, Shakhtinsk, Abay, Shakhan, Aktas. Residents of satellite cities and villages will be able to leave from here. Another boarding point will be organized near School No. 19 — from here transport will go to Maikuduk, Sortirovka, Kokpekty, and Doskey.
Organizers warn of possible mobile communication interruptions due to the large crowd. To strengthen the signal, four mobile base stations will be additionally installed, specially delivered from Astana and Almaty.
During the holiday, emergency services will be on heightened alert at the concert venue and adjacent territory. Ambulance teams, police officers, and fire brigades will be on site.
Organizers recommend familiarizing yourself in advance with bus routes, departure points, and the road closure scheme. Those planning to arrive by personal car should note that restrictions will begin at 10:00 AM on August 29, several hours before the concert starts.
