Dimash Kudaibergen, a People's Artist of Kazakhstan and a world-renowned performer, has joined the large-scale national 'Reading Nation' marathon, as reported by infohub.kz.
The singer announced his decision on Instagram. He will take part in the marathon, launched at the initiative of the President of the country with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information, in a special non-competitive category called Parasat.
Dimash recently read the autobiographical work 'Life Without Arms' by Karipbek Kuyukov, a well-known Kazakh artist and anti-nuclear activist. According to the artist, it is not just an autobiography but the story of a man who, unfortunately, was born without arms but did not allow that circumstance to define the boundaries of his life.
For Dimash, the author of the book became a true superhero. 'Before a concert in Karaganda, I had the good fortune to meet Karipbek aga in person. I was deeply impressed by his life journey, his resilience in the face of trials, and his strength of spirit,' he said.
Dimash expressed confidence that the national 'Reading Nation' marathon will become an occasion to read new books and an opportunity to share impressions of what has been read with one another.
