World-renowned Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen visited the Kostenko mine of Qarmet company after performing at a large concert dedicated to Miner's Day in Karaganda, reports infohub.kz.
During the visit, the artist familiarized himself with the enterprise's operations, descended 700 meters underground, and saw the personnel positioning system in action, which allows real-time tracking of workers' locations underground.
"Right after the big concert for Miner's Day in Karaganda, which gathered about 250,000 people, I visited the Kostenko mine of Qarmet. I went 700 meters underground and saw with my own eyes the conditions miners work in, how difficult and responsible their job is. They showed me the mine's operations, modern safety and positioning systems that allow monitoring people underground. It's great that mines are being modernized. But the most important thing was meeting the miners in person and congratulating them on their professional holiday. I have immense respect for people of this profession. Your work deserves special honor! Happy Miner's Day! Good health, well-being, and safe shifts! Rakhmet, Qarmet!" the singer noted.
For the artist, the visit was an opportunity to see not only modern underground production and safety technologies, but also the work of people who toil daily at depths of hundreds of meters.
The visit to the Kostenko mine was another sign of respect for miners' labor and for the people who ensure the stable operation of the coal industry in the Karaganda region.
