Kazakh actress Dinara Baktybayeva, known for the films "Cherny, cherny chelovek" and "Kudalar," has spoken candidly about the hardships of the acting profession and how she copes with them, infohub.kz reports.
According to the actress, rejections at castings are an inseparable part of her journey. She admitted she has been through many such situations and tries to take them in stride.
"There were even times when I was replaced by another actress during rehearsals. A rejection always hurts. And of course, it can deal a blow to your self-esteem. But the important thing here is not to take it too personally. A casting is not an assessment of your talent. Sometimes you gave a brilliant performance, but the director saw in someone else exactly the image he had in mind. Sometimes your age, looks, height, scene partner or type just didn't fit. And sometimes the role simply isn't yours," she said.
Dinara tries to focus on what matters most — she is confident that one day she will land her dream role.
"I try to remember: one day that very role may come along, the one after which you'll say, 'This is the role I went through all those castings I didn't get for.' Rejections are part of the profession, unfortunately. The main thing is not to let one 'no' make you say 'no' to yourself," the actress shared.
Social media users supported the actress in the comments. "I wish you that very role, the one after which the whole world will know you. You deserve it!", "You are very talented, and we are proud that you now live with us in Atyrau," "A good actress. Your role hasn't been born yet among directors and producers, you still have everything ahead of you," they wrote.
Earlier, Dinara Baktybayeva showed off her figure in a bikini on a beach in Turkey.
