TV host Dinara Satzhan has filed a lawsuit against a healer from Aktobe who criticized her on social media. The first court hearing in the case took place in Astana, reports infohub.kz.
According to Satzhan, the healer made statements on social media that defamed her honor and dignity and used offensive language. She therefore decided to resolve the dispute through legal channels.
“Freedom of speech is a constitutional right, but it does not mean the freedom to insult others. Freedom of speech also entails responsibility for what is said,” the TV host wrote.
She said she filed the lawsuit against the healer from Aktobe a month ago, and the first hearing was held today in Astana.
“Defending yourself does not make you a troublemaker. Bagdagul will answer for her words not on TikTok, but in court,” Satzhan stated.
She also thanked her lawyer for representing her in the case and emphasized that all disputes should be resolved within the law.
