Disney is in negotiations with actor Macaulay Culkin to bring him back into the "Home Alone" franchise. According to journalist and insider Matt Belloni, company representatives have already met with the actor to discuss his involvement in a new project, reports the website infohub.kz.
Belloni claims that Disney is interested in reviving the role of Kevin McCallister and is willing to support Culkin's other ventures in exchange for his agreement to star in the sequel. The journalist also notes that the studio already has a "very good idea" for the film, and the information is confirmed by several sources within the company.
Disney has not officially announced a new "Home Alone" installment and does not comment on rumors about the negotiations.
Previously, Culkin did not rule out the possibility of playing Kevin again. In 2025, the actor said he imagines his character as an adult man raising a child alone. In his concept, one day his own son kicks Kevin out of the house, mirroring the plot of the original film.
Recall that Culkin has already reprised the role of Kevin McCallister in a promotional campaign called "Home, But Not Alone" for Home Instead, a company that provides care for the elderly.
