The mixed doubles tournament at the 2026 US Open got off to a sensational start, with top seeds Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka suffering a first-round defeat, according to infohub.kz.

Their opponents, Czech Katerina Siniakova and Briton Henry Patten, won 1:4, 4:2, 10-2 in a champion's tie-break, having turned the match around. The pair spent 53 minutes on court.
