The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their perfect record in extra innings, as Tommy Edman's go-ahead single in the 10th inning lifted them to a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. This was reported by infohub.kz.

With two strikes, Edman lined a hit to left field, scoring automatic runner Kiké Hernández from third base. The win kept the Dodgers as the only undefeated team in extra innings in the majors, with a 5-0 record.

With Hernández on second, pinch-hitter Alex Call struck out, and Mookie Betts was intentionally walked. Kyle Tucker grounded into a fielder's choice to second, forcing out Betts. Evan Phillips earned the win with one inning of relief.

The NL West-leading Dodgers have won eight of their last 11 games. For Pittsburgh, Oneil Cruz hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to tie the game at 4-4.

Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed two runs and five hits over 6 1/3 innings, striking out nine. The Japanese right-hander was lifted after putting the tying runs on base in the seventh. Jake Mangum led off with a double, and Yamamoto hit Jared Triolo. Reliever Brock Stewart retired the next two batters to end the inning.

Pirates reliever Luke Bachar walked Shohei Ohtani to lead off the seventh, and Ohtani stole second. With two outs, Bachar walked Max Muncy and Mookie Betts to load the bases for Kyle Tucker, but Tucker flied out to center to end the threat.

Muncy's two-run homer in the first inning gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead. The Pirates had taken a 1-0 lead on Nick Gonzales' RBI single in the top of the first, and Gonzales tied the game at 2-2 with another RBI single in the third.

In the next game, Pirates right-hander Jared Jones (2-5, 4.78 ERA) will face Dodgers left-hander Tarik Skubal (7-7, 2.85). Skubal is 0-2 with a 3.18 ERA since being traded to Los Angeles earlier this month.
