The dollar exchange rate on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) fell by more than 2 tenge by the end of the week, dropping to 469.83 tenge. The euro also weakened by a similar amount, reports the website infohub.kz.

At the beginning of the week, the exchange rate of the US currency rose to 477.11 tenge, but the next day it fell to 468.88 tenge. Yesterday it increased by 3 tenge to 472.34 tenge. Today's trading brought another decline.

As a result of today's trading on KASE, the weighted average dollar exchange rate was 469.83 tenge. At exchange offices in the capital as of 3:30 p.m., the dollar was bought at 467 tenge and sold at 474 tenge. In Almaty, buying rates ranged from 466 to 471 tenge, selling from 471.4 to 473 tenge. In Shymkent, the dollar was bought at 469.5–470.5 tenge and sold at 471.5–472.5 tenge.

The euro weakened by more than 2 tenge over the day: its weighted average rate on KASE was 537.76 tenge. At exchange offices in Astana, the euro was bought at 534 tenge and sold at 544 tenge; in Almaty, buying rates were between 530 and 540 tenge, selling between 540.5 and 546.5 tenge; in Shymkent, buying from 535 to 539 tenge, selling from 540 to 545 tenge.
