This week, as last week, the dollar began with a decline, maintaining its lowest level in over two years. However, this trend did not continue, and the US currency sharply appreciated.
In exchange offices of Kazakhstan's major cities, as of 15:30, according to Kurs.kz, the following buying and selling rates for cash dollars were set: in Astana — buying at 453 tenge, selling at 460 tenge; in Almaty — buying from 450.3 to 455.1 tenge, selling from 455.4 to 458 tenge; in Shymkent — buying from 454 to 455.5 tenge, selling from 456 to 458 tenge.
The euro exchange rate also headed upward, gaining almost 3 tenge on the exchange per day. Its weighted average value as of 15:30 is 530.43 tenge. In the country's exchange offices, the following buying and selling rates for cash euros were set: in Astana — buying at 524 tenge, selling at 534 tenge; in Almaty — buying from 525 to 531.5 tenge, selling from 532 to 537 tenge; in Shymkent — buying from 526 to 530 tenge, selling from 531 to 537 tenge.
