The US dollar continued to lose ground on the Kazakh market, with the average weighted exchange rate falling to 467.65 tenge at the close of trading on July 22, according to infohub.kz.

Compared to the previous trading day, the dollar weakened by 1.57 tenge. On July 21, the rate stood at 469.22 tenge per dollar.

During the session, the low was 466.50 tenge and the high 468.98 tenge. The closing rate was 467.06 tenge.

Trading volume reached $229.38 million, with 688 deals executed.

According to Kurs.kz data as of 17:16, the maximum dollar selling rate in exchange offices in Astana was 473 tenge, and in Almaty, 470 tenge.

The official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kazakhstan for July 22 was 469.59 tenge. Under the current calculation procedure, the official rate for July 23 has been set at 467.65 tenge per dollar.
