Dolly Parton, one of the greatest country music performers and songwriters, has died at the age of 81 in the United States, reports infohub.kz.
According to the publication, the death of the American country music legend was announced by her nephew Brian Seaver on Instagram. He said that several years ago, Dolly Parton asked him personally to announce her passing.
"I was the head of her security for over two decades, and before me, my father Larry held that position. I imagined the weight of this moment, but I didn't truly feel it until now," he admitted.
The publication adds that in September 2025, Dolly Parton canceled a concert due to an infection. On August 21 of this year, she shared health updates, noting that her condition had worsened in March 2025, following the death of her husband Carl Dean.
It is noted that Dolly Parton is the best-selling female country artist of all time, having sold over 160 million albums worldwide.
