A two-story Tudor-style house in the Queens borough of New York, where Donald Trump spent the first four years of his life, has been sold for $1.93 million. The buyer is a private individual who chose to remain anonymous, according to infohub.kz.
The house was built in 1940 by Fred Trump, a developer and the father of the future U.S. president. People magazine reported the closing of the deal.
The previous owner, developer Tommy Lin, bought the abandoned property in 2025 for just $835,000. At that point the building was in dire condition: burst pipes had caused mold to spread inside, and stray cats had taken over the empty rooms. The investor spent about $500,000 on an extensive renovation, completely updating the interiors, installing a modern kitchen and laying parquet floors.
The property's history is rather unusual. In 2017 the mansion was already sold for $2.14 million to a company called Trump Birth House LLC, after which it was rented out on Airbnb. At the time, a life-size cardboard cutout of the former president was placed in the rooms, along with magazine covers featuring his image. Later, the house was put up for sale for $2.9 million, but no buyers came forward, and the building sat abandoned for years.
