Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) announced a successful attack on the tanker Avero, part of Russia's 'shadow fleet,' in the Black Sea, as well as on three oil depots in Stavropol Krai. The strikes triggered massive fires at the facilities, reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence agency, the tanker Avero was under Ukrainian sanctions and was used to transport Russian oil in circumvention of international restrictions imposed by the G7 and the European Union. The vessel delivered crude oil, in particular, to China and India.

To strike the tanker, the SBU used its naval drone 'Mamay.' The SBU also noted that the Avero is the fourth Suezmax-class tanker attacked by the Ukrainian service in the last ten days.

In addition to the maritime operation, Ukrainian drones struck three oil depots in Stavropol Krai, located about 600 kilometers from Ukraine's state border. According to the SBU, after a series of explosions, fuel and lubricant tanks caught fire, causing large fires.
