A 28-year-old Audi driver has been arrested for 15 days in Astana for driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred over the past weekend when police officers stopped the vehicle during patrol. Upon inspection, the man showed signs of alcohol intoxication, which was confirmed by a medical examination establishing a mild degree of intoxication, reports infohub.kz.
The Astana Police Department noted that in 2026, about 1,000 drivers were punished for driving under the influence. Additionally, 69 individuals were brought to criminal responsibility for driving while deprived of their license.
By court decision, the offender was subjected to administrative liability in the form of arrest for 15 days with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for 7 years.
