In the Zhambyl region, a man who got behind the wheel while intoxicated crashed his car into a tree and was arrested for 20 days, reports infohub.kz.
The Sarysu District Court considered an administrative case against citizen F. for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, resulting in damage to the car (Part 3 of Article 608 of the Administrative Code).
In July 2026, a 29-year-old resident of the Sarysu district, while intoxicated, got behind the wheel of a BMW. While driving through the city of Zhanatas, the driver lost control, causing the car to crash into a tree. No people were injured in the accident, but the car sustained mechanical damage.
His guilt was proven by testimony of the parties, the protocol, and the medical examination report. In court, the offender fully admitted his guilt and repented.
The sanction of Part 3 of Article 608 of the Administrative Code provides for administrative arrest for 20 days and deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for 7 years. The court recognized the admission of guilt as a mitigating circumstance. No aggravating circumstances were established.
