In Stepnogorsk, a 40-year-old woman, allegedly intoxicated, attacked a police officer and scratched his face and neck, reports infohub.kz.

The incident occurred on August 15 at around 00:30. The police department received a call about a noise disturbance in a residential building. Patrol officers arriving at the scene heard loud music coming from the apartment. The door was opened by the 40-year-old woman, who was allegedly intoxicated.

She reacted aggressively to the officers' lawful demands to stop the noise and undergo a medical examination, using profanity and refusing to comply. During the ensuing conflict, she pushed one of the officers, then ran into the hallway and attacked him, scratching his face and neck.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the use of violence against a representative of authority. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

The police reminded the public to maintain public order and comply with lawful demands of law enforcement officers. "Special attention should be paid to avoiding conflict situations while intoxicated. Violating public order and using violence against representatives of authority entail liability under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the police added.
