Two teenagers lost their way during a hike on Volchya Gora in the Karasai district of Almaty region, reports the website infohub.kz.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescuers found the lost teenagers in the mountains. At night, it was discovered that on Volchya Gora, two teenagers had lost their way during a hike. "Before losing contact, they managed to report that they could not find their way on their own and asked for help. The last contact was lost due to the phone being almost completely discharged," the ministry said.
Rescuers from the Regional Rescue Service "Barys" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan immediately set out on the search. During the search and rescue operation, the teenagers were found on the slope of Volchya Gora. Fortunately, they did not require medical assistance.
It is reported that the rescuers escorted the teenagers along a safe route to the Prokhodnoye Gorge, after which they were taken to a meeting point with their parents.
