It seems Dyson has a new candidate for the title of the ultimate bathroom gadget. After hair dryers, stylers, and other devices, the company has turned its attention to teeth and introduced the Dyson CameraJet—an electric toothbrush with a built-in camera. Kursiv LifeStyle explains how it works... reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the company, the Dyson toothbrush not only cleans teeth but also automatically finds the gaps between them and directs a stream of liquid there.

The small CameraJet attachment houses a macro camera with 100,000 pixels. It captures what's happening inside the mouth at 28 frames per second. A machine learning system analyzes the image and identifies where the gaps between teeth are.

Once such an area is found, the toothbrush directs a stream of mouthwash there in about 100 milliseconds. The result is a sort of combination of a toothbrush and a water flosser. While the user brushes, the device additionally rinses hard-to-reach spots.

Dyson is betting not only on high-tech features but also on user comfort. The built-in reservoir holds 12.5 ml of liquid, and a special system maintains the flow even when the brush is held horizontally—for example, when cleaning the inner surfaces of the teeth.

The device can also be connected to the MyDyson app. Through it, users can see the camera feed in real time, get tips on brushing technique, and see which areas of the teeth were well cleaned and which were missed. Dyson also states that images from the camera are not stored on the device or in the cloud.

Of course, the high-tech toothbrush comes with special toothpaste and mouthwash—sold separately at $11.50 (about 6,000 tenge). They are needed to prevent foam from obstructing the built-in camera's view of the teeth.

Sales of the Dyson CameraJet began on September 1. The system costs $499 (approximately 230,000 tenge). The package includes the toothbrush, a charging dock, a travel case, toothpaste, and mouthwash.

Judging by reactions on social media, the idea has sparked quite a few jokes. Users are discussing the price, the need for a camera in the mouth, and wondering whether it's not simpler to just use regular dental floss.

"Thanks, I really didn't know where to spend half a thousand euros," one user wrote.

"Don't show this to my wife—she wants everything with 'Dyson' on it," another commented.

"I'm running to buy it! Too bad I don't have YouTube subscribers, or I could start streaming my teeth cleaning," joked a third.

If Dyson manages to replicate the success of its beauty gadgets with the toothbrush, the CameraJet could well become a new must-have gift.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Dyson announced the release of a multi-styler for eyebrow styling. The post advertising the gadget, featuring beauty influencer Victoria Magrath, appeared on the brand's account on April 1.
