On the night of July 19, Kazakhstan will temporarily restrict access to the eGov.kz portal, the eGov Mobile application, and other government electronic services, reports infohub.kz.
Scheduled maintenance will take place on July 19 from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. The National Information Technologies company (NIT) explained that the timing was chosen to coincide with minimal user activity and reduce potential inconvenience.
During the maintenance, the following will be unavailable: the eGov.kz portal and eGov Mobile app, including the Digital Documents service; the e-Otinish and E-license portals and Open Government systems; services of the National Certification Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NCC RK); other projects supported by NIT JSC; and government services accessible through mobile apps of second-tier banks and other systems connected to the e-government gateway.
NIT advises users to complete all necessary operations in advance and to have original documents ready if they might be needed during the maintenance period.
The company noted that the update is being carried out to ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of the digital ecosystem of government services.
Earlier, independent researcher Zhanat Bubekbayeva from the CAPS Unlock analytical center tested the AI assistant of the eGov Mobile app in two languages and found that users systematically receive different information about fines depending on the language of the request.
