In the Zhambyl Region, an ecologist employed by a housing and utilities company under the akimat sustained a severe workplace injury while clearing snow. The incident occurred in December 2023 when the woman slipped and fell while sweeping a street. The Korday District Court approved a settlement agreement between the worker and her employer, under which she will receive 1.6 million tenge, infohub.kz reports.

According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl Region courts, the Korday District Court heard a civil case concerning compensation for harm to health. The employer's fault in the accident was established at 100%.

According to a medical report, the woman was found to have a 50% loss of working capacity. She was recommended additional medical care and social rehabilitation, including sanatorium-resort treatment.

The plaintiff filed a lawsuit demanding compensation for harm to her health and provision of treatment prescribed by medical recommendations. During the trial, the parties reached a reconciliation and concluded a mutually beneficial agreement.

Under the terms of the agreement, the employer undertook to pay the woman 1.6 million tenge within three working days after the court ruling entered into force. The agreement was approved, and the proceedings were terminated. The ruling has entered into legal force.
