Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina has won the US Open for the first time in her career, defeating Arina Sabalenka 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 in the final. The victory marks her third Grand Slam title, following Wimbledon 2022 and the Australian Open 2026, infohub.kz reports.
With the tournament result, Rybakina has taken the No. 1 spot in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, becoming the first Kazakh player in history to hold the top position in the world rankings.
