Elton John and his husband David Furnish announced the non-alcoholic line earlier this year. According to Furnish, the drink is produced using a special grape fermentation technique that yields no alcohol, preserving the rich flavor of Blanc de Blancs.
Elton John has often spoken about his struggle with addictions during the height of his career. In his 2019 autobiography “Me,” the singer admitted that alcohol helped him escape personal problems. However, the journey to sobriety, he says, allowed him to reconsider his behavior and become a person he is proud of.
