The ability to recognize and regulate emotions helps employees maintain a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life, and through this, to work with greater dedication and derive more enjoyment from everyday life. These are the conclusions of Lebanese researchers, whose work was published in the scientific journal "Humanities and Social Sciences Communications," according to infohub.kz.

The study is based on responses from 244 professionals from Lebanon, as well as Lebanese workers living in other countries of the Middle East and North Africa. The researchers processed the data using structural equation modeling. The results showed a direct link between high emotional intelligence and the degree of a person's engagement in the work process.

The key link in this chain is the balance between work and home. It is this balance that directly boosts job satisfaction, which in turn fosters high work activity, enthusiasm and immersion in tasks. According to the authors, the ability to understand and regulate one's own and others' emotions helps employees build this harmonious balance.

The researchers separately note that developed emotional skills allow employees to cope more effectively with stress and workload amid economic and political instability. Based on their findings, the scientists recommend that companies introduce emotional intelligence training programs and offer employees flexible work schedules.
