Spider-Man star Tom Holland admitted that he once decided to send a direct message to Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland, but the striker simply ignored him. The actor shared the funny story on Jimmy Fallon's show, as reported by Kursiv.
According to Holland, he saw the Norwegian striker at the Monaco Grand Prix in June and decided to "take a shot." The actor joked that this is exactly the kind of situation that benefits any actor: you think you'll write, invite someone to dinner, and get absolutely nothing in return. Holland added that he didn't even get a polite refusal from the footballer — no excuse, no "I'm busy," not a word.
Despite this, Holland said he would still be happy to have dinner with the footballer. However, he joked that after Norway's recent loss to England, he's not sure Haaland would want to.
In response to host Jimmy Fallon's question, the actor called the Norwegian striker an "absolute legend" and admitted he admires his game.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Norwegian striker Erling Haaland brought back an unusual souvenir from the US after the 2026 World Cup.
