In the world of football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gareth Bale, and Erling Haaland have always drawn attention with their hairstyles. However, this season, Haaland surprised everyone with a new look. The Manchester City striker revealed on social media that he had shed his famous blonde locks, posting the caption: "New season, new trim." He hopes his new look will bring even more goals as he aims to score his first goal when Enzo Maresca's team face Bournemouth at 14:00 BST on Sunday.

Before cutting his hair, Haaland joked around by showing off images of his previous hairstyles and some questionable ideas for his new look. He looked nervous as the hairdresser cut the first piece, but soon began smiling at his new appearance. The 26-year-old made video calls to team-mate Jack Grealish, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, and former manager Pep Guardiola, who all had different reactions. Gallagher said: "You look about 17 years old. It's good. Change is good." Grealish and Guardiola both said they "love" the change. Grealish said: "You look about 10 years old. That is hilarious. I can't stop looking at the front of your hair. I love it." Guardiola said: "No way. You're lucky you have hair. I would love to have it. I love it."

Before calling Ibrahimovic, Haaland joked that the former Sweden international told him never to cut his long hair. "Zlatan told me, never cut your hair, because your strength is in your hair. I'm a bit nervous. I want a buzz cut, like in the military." However, Ibrahimovic was not impressed that Haaland didn't follow his advice. "What did you do? You lost a bet or what? Block me and erase my number," Ibrahimovic said.
