Nazym Kakharman, the former wife of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, who was convicted of murdering Saltanat Nukenova, has stated that her ex-husband's mother has filed a lawsuit against her, as reported by infohub.kz.
In her Instagram posts, Kakharman said that her former mother-in-law intends to recover about 25 million tenge from her. According to her, this is the fourth lawsuit from their side in the last two years, but the first from Bishimbayev's mother. Kakharman herself has filed only one lawsuit during this time – to strip parental rights.
She also explained the essence of the claims: it concerns a premises where a fitness club was previously located, registered in the name of Kuandyk Bishimbayev's mother. Kakharman claims that she managed the business under a trust management agreement, which became the reason for the lawsuit.
"Now I realize that the trust management agreement can be a trap. Years later, they demand that I return money that, as the plaintiffs believe, was obtained from this business," Kakharman said.
Bishimbayev's ex-wife also did not rule out that she will now file a lawsuit herself demanding alimony payments.
