Buying a crossover or SUV often represents a significant financial investment, so many car enthusiasts look for a vehicle that will last as long as possible. Specialists at GOBankingRates, drawing on data from the analytics firm iSeeCars, have compiled a list of models that are highly likely to exceed 250,000 miles (about 402,000 kilometers), reports infohub.kz.
The list includes the full-size body-on-frame Chevrolet Tahoe. According to analysts, it ranks seventh among the most durable SUVs and 12th in the overall ranking of all vehicles. This car is well suited for regularly hauling large loads and big groups.
The massive GMC Yukon took tenth place among rugged SUVs, while its extended version, the Yukon XL, came in sixth. Both models have proven to be very quiet and comfortable for long trips.
The mid-size premium Lexus GX also made the list of leaders. It ranked fifth among SUVs and ninth overall in terms of potential lifespan.
Of interest to Kazakhstani motorists is the mid-size Nissan Pathfinder, which took 13th place among durable crossovers. GOBankingRates calls it a comfortable family vehicle. In the overall ranking of all models, the Pathfinder came in 24th.
Another entrant is the Toyota Highlander. The classic gasoline version placed ninth among SUVs, while the Highlander Hybrid performed even better – third in its category and fifth among all vehicles on the market.
The sixth entrant is the three-row Honda Pilot. This family crossover offers a spacious trunk and is suitable for daily use. In the iSeeCars ranking, the Japanese model took eighth place among SUVs with the highest likelihood of reaching 250,000 miles, and 13th among all automotive long-livers.
