Explosions rocked 10 cities in Iran, with local media reporting the consequences of a new wave of strikes. The US military announced its 13th consecutive wave of attacks, according to infohub.kz.
The explosions occurred near the cities of Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Amid, and on Qeshm Island, the Tasnim news agency reported. The Mehr agency reported explosions in the cities of Andimeshk and Omidiyeh. Preliminary reports indicate two people were injured in the strike on Bandar Abbas.
Explosions were also reported in Khorramabad, Khondab, Borujerd, Jask, and Kenarq. PressTV reported sounds of explosions in Firuzabad and Taft.
Shortly before, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on social media the 13th wave of overnight strikes against Iran. The publication noted that before the attack, US President Donald Trump said he was considering "a more powerful strike than ever before" on Iran.
The day before, the White House chief threatened that the US military would bomb Iran's bridges and power plants for every shot fired at ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
