According to Kazhydromet, unstable weather is expected across most of Kazakhstan on Saturday, July 18, reports the website infohub.kz.
Brief rains with thunderstorms will hit the west, east, and parts of the north. The south will see intense heat up to 48°C and extreme fire danger. Dust storms are possible in some areas. Storm warnings have been issued in 15 regions.
In Astana, partly cloudy skies, no precipitation, with overnight temperatures of 17–19°C and daytime highs of 34–36°C. In Almaty, partly cloudy, no rain, overnight 24–26°C, daytime 40–42°C. In Shymkent, cloudy, no precipitation, overnight 25–27°C, daytime 45–47°C.
