Hendon released a statement on the team's Instagram account, describing the player's death as sudden and tragic.
"We are shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the sudden and tragic passing of midfielder Ezekiel Williams, who died yesterday afternoon at the age of 26. Ez, a humble, unassuming and generous person with a sharp mind, joined the club in September. He quickly became a favourite throughout the squad and had begun to establish himself in midfield, showing the hard work and commitment that fully reflected his character. Just 10 days ago he scored his first goal for the club in the match against Jersey Bulls," the statement read.
The club also said that tomorrow's London Senior Cup match against Woodford Town has been postponed.
It was previously reported that a Spanish second-division match ended in tragedy when Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel died in hospital after losing consciousness during a game.
