NORAD reported intercepting several light civilian aircraft over Bedminster, according to infohub.kz.
The agency announced this on social media platform X. It noted that civilian planes were intercepted by F-16 fighter jets. The aircraft violated temporary flight restrictions in the Bedminster area of New Jersey.
"All aircraft were safely escorted out of the restricted area by NORAD aircraft," the statement said.
According to Fox News, the incident occurred in the skies over Bedminster, where President Donald Trump was spending the weekend at his golf club. As the outlet reports, F-16s first intercepted two light aircraft. Later, it was confirmed that a third aircraft also caused alarm as Trump was preparing to leave the area. This could have delayed the president's departure.
It was noted that emergency vehicles, law enforcement officers, and U.S. Secret Service agents were seen taking positions at the scene.
