Rescuers evacuated seven people, including an infant, from lakes in the Burabay district after a sudden weather deterioration, according to infohub.kz.
EMERCOM's operational rescue team, while patrolling the waters of Lake Burabay, spotted a rubber boat about 800 meters from the shore. Six people, including an infant, were evacuated from it. All vacationers were wearing life jackets and did not require medical assistance.
Almost simultaneously, another person needed assistance on Lake Shchuchye in Shchuchinsk. An angler was found about one kilometer from the shore. The man could not return to shore on his own, was wearing a life jacket, and did not require medical help.
EMERCOM reminded that before heading out on the water, boaters should check their vessel's condition, carry communication devices, and always wear life jackets.
