In Karaganda's Maikuduk residential area, a deadly accident involving a bus and a passenger car occurred. As a result, a criminal case has been initiated, reports infohub.kz.
The accident became known from a post in the Instagram community dorogi_karagandy, where eyewitnesses shared video from the scene. The footage shows a heavily damaged white car and an ambulance.
In the comments, the regional police clarified that the accident happened today, September 6, at approximately 07:30 on K. Marx Street. The vehicles involved were a Chevrolet Cobalt and a Yutong shuttle bus.
"As a result of the accident, a 36-year-old passenger of the Chevrolet Cobalt died at the scene from his injuries. A pre-trial investigation has been launched. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being established," the Karaganda Regional Police Department said.
Law enforcement once again urged drivers to strictly follow traffic rules, choose a safe speed considering road and weather conditions, and be extremely attentive and cautious on the road.
