Authorities in Shymkent are investigating a horrific accident that claimed the lives of a woman and two children. The mother of one of the boys who died managed to switch to another car shortly before the tragedy, reports infohub.kz.
According to Channel 7, the family was traveling from the city of Arys to Shymkent to buy school uniforms for the children, but never reached their destination. The collision killed a 44-year-old woman, her daughter who had just started school, and her brother's 11-year-old son. The tragedy unfolded before the eyes of relatives.
The mother of the deceased boy was initially in the same car, but along the way her daughter began to cry, and the woman moved to her husband's vehicle. The large family was also accompanied by a sister living in Astana, who was driving in her own car with her daughter.
The grandmother of the deceased children, Zlikha Isaeva, shared shocking details: "It turns out my son's child was literally torn to pieces. They say the woman behind the wheel had her arm torn off. She herself was intact. Her daughter was also there. She ended up under the seat. Legs broken, arms broken. Even a person who hit an animal would probably ask for forgiveness. But here, no one is there."
Currently, investigators are determining which driver caused the accident. Shymkent police have opened a criminal case, and all circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified.
